Employers have a duty of care to their employees.
HR departments devote a great deal of time and effort to ensure
the well-being of their staff in the workplace.
It is a mandatory requirement that an employees work environment
is risk assessed. Traditionally when risk assessed, staff
in a factory, warehouse or other industrial area are prohibited
from working alone. The risks that being alone may result
in them being unable to summon assistance if needed.
However Lone Workers where
they have to work away from the premises are far extremely
vulnerable, and finally technology has caught up.
